Adds small holding tabs to exterior cut paths so pieces stay attached to the sheet during cutting. Snap them out by hand when done. Interior cutouts are left untouched.
When a part cuts free it can shift, tip into the kerf, or drop through the bed and get scorched. Adding small tabs or bridges leaves the part connected to the sheet by a tiny uncut sliver, so it stays put until you pop it out by hand.
They hold cut parts to the sheet so small pieces do not shift, tip, or fall through the bed.
Tabs leave a tiny nub you can sand or trim. Keep them small and place them on a hidden edge.
