Neighborhood Ornament

Generate a laser-ready SVG map centered on any address. Output is a layered SVG - roads layer + clip shape - ready for your design software and laser. Designed for the area immediately around a single address; not for full-city maps.

Pro tool. Previews are free and watermarked, so you can check how your own street looks before you spend anything. You also get one clean, cuttable file a month. The Maker Pack unlocks them all.
Location
Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, free to use commercially under the ODbL. If you sell what you make, carry that credit on the packaging or listing.
Pick the best match from the list. Can’t find your exact spot? Click anywhere on the map below to drop it yourself.
Type an address above to preview the map area
The green shape is the actual visible map area (matches your selected clip shape). Drag the green dot to reframe - the purple dot stays at your address.
0.25 1.0 mi
0.5 mi = tight neighborhood · 0.75 mi = standard ornament · 1.0 mi = wider area
Shape & Style
Address dot
Blue dot at your geocoded address inside the ornament
Parks
Outline the boundary of any park inside the map (you can paint them green by hand after cutting, or just delete the layer)
Runways
Engrave airport runways, taxiways and aprons when the map covers one. A great touch for a pilot's home or a map near an airfield.
North arrow
Small N + triangle inside the clip shape
Hanging hole
3mm cut hole at top of frame ring for hanging
Street labels
Up to 6 major street names engraved on the map (e.g. "FT UNION", "I-215"). Auto-placed beside each road but some may need to be nudged in your design software.
Marker icons
Star, house & teardrop in a narrow column off to the side. Cut one out, paint it, glue it over the address dot. Delete the others before sending to the laser.
Lat / Lon text
Coordinates included with the spare parts (you place it if/where you want it)
Address text
Full street address included with the spare parts (off by default - most builds use the label instead)
Label
Leave both lines blank to skip the label entirely.
Output Size
Capped at 5″ - this tool is for ornaments only.
Previews are free. With the Maker Pack, unlimited ornaments to make and sell, fair use 40 maps a day, which keeps the free OpenStreetMap servers we depend on happy. Need more for a production run? Ask.

The .zip splits the top piece and backing into separate files, and adds a small OpenStreetMap credit layer. Spare parts (icons, lat/lon) go on:

A map ornament centered on any address

Pick an address and the generator pulls the surrounding street network and builds a clean, layered SVG: a roads layer plus a clip shape, ready to drop into your design software and cut. It is designed for the area immediately around a single address, the kind of keepsake people want for a first home, a wedding venue, or a favorite city corner.

How it works

1. Enter an address. Start typing and pick the best match, or click anywhere on the map to drop your own center point.

2. Set the radius and style. Choose how much area to capture and the shape of the ornament.

3. Download the layered SVG. Roads and clip shape come on separate layers, ready for your laser software.

Frequently asked questions

Which addresses can I use?

Anywhere OpenStreetMap covers, which is most of the world. Type an address and pick the match, or click the map to drop your own center point. Distances can be set in miles or kilometres.

What do I get when I download?

A layered SVG: the roads, the clip shape, a hanging hole, and your optional label, each on its own layer. You can also download a two-file zip that splits the top piece from the backing, with a small OpenStreetMap credit layer alongside.

How big is the ornament?

Up to 127mm, or 5 inches, across. It is built for the area immediately around one address at ornament scale, not for full-city maps.

Which laser software does it work with?

Anything that imports SVG, including LightBurn, Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, xTool Creative Space and Glowforge. Layers arrive named so you can assign cut and engrave operations directly.

Is it free?

Watermarked previews are free, so you can check how your own street looks before spending anything, and a free account can claim one clean cuttable file each month. The Maker Pack is a one-time $39 for unlimited clean downloads.

Can I sell what I make?

Yes. You may cut and sell as many physical ornaments as you like. You may not resell or redistribute the SVG itself. Because the street data comes from OpenStreetMap under the ODbL, reproduce the credit “Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors” on the packaging or the listing.
